Impacts

SNAP-Ed through the land-grant systems reaches over 30 million people each year through direct education, PSE, and social marketing efforts. A comprehensive report of outcomes from LGU SNAP-Ed programs found: 45% of youth decrease intake of sugar-sweetened beverages, 40% of adults increased consumption of fruits and vegetables, and 60% of adult program participants utilized food resource management techniques to save money.
